A Legendary Day

Last Saturday is a day that could only be described by the catch phrase of (or I should say one of the many catch phrases of) Barney Stinson (How I Met Your Mother, if you don't watch you should).
My mom wanted me to get senior pictures done so that she could send them in my graduation announcements. And no offense to Beki because I love her work and tell anyone I know who is getting married that I know a fantastic photographer, but I just didn't feel like professional pictures were in the budget right now.

So the day started out with my friend Bethy and I borrowed a nice camera and went to take pictures. We went a little train station in Clairmont that was wonderful and beautiful. We took tons and had a lot of fun. What made this legendary was that we parked in a place that we don't think we were supposed to park in and could have been fined or towed...and then while taking pictures down on the train tracks, some guy rode by on his bike and was like "I want a copy of that, but if the metro cops catch you, you'll get a ticket." We weren't caught and didn't get any tickets. When we were done we got back in the car and just as we were about to turn towards the freeway we saw a storm trooper walking around. Seriously how often does that happen?!? I started yelling for Bethy to pull over because I just had to have my picture taken with him! I succeeded in this goal which was awesome!

After that we got back in the car and headed to school. We were hoping to make it there before the cafe closed. While on the freeway we heard (and Bethy saw) a huge multi-car pile up going the other way. This wasn't good but it doesn't happen every day.

We made it back to school before the cafe closed and noticed that the always-broken fountain which James fixed the night before was still running. Some people claim it has worked for a maximum of 5 days although I swear that it has worked for only a couple hours every time they decide to attempt to fix it (which is about once a school year). Therefore since it was working for a total of about 12 hours it was amazing.

After that I just bummed around. I should have been doing work but I didn't. I can't say it was the best afternoon of all time or even legendary at all but it wasn't horrible. I got to have a heart-to-heart with Ruby which doesn't get to happen all too often so that was nice.

Then that evening a few of the guys on campus started a cover band and had a concert. It was pretty cool. It was fun because we knew all the songs and the
guys in the band. They may not be the best musicians but they are talented and had fun. They played about 15 songs, some Jack Johnson Jason Maraz The Frey, some Johnny Cash, and even had violins for Viva La Vida. It turned out a lot better than i thought it would be.

After the concert, we went to cheer the boys basketball team on. It was fun; its always fun. They didn't do as well as the game before, but oh well.

Overall it was just a great day followed up by another great day because I got to go home. :-D I love home. There was nothing learned that was profound but I had a good, relaxing day.

Also. Since I'm graduating I'm supposed to be looking for jobs. I have found one possibility, have my normal summer job lines up just in case, and might be going to a few job fairs in the next few weeks, but I have another idea. Its not something that most people would do after college since its not really a 'carrer job' but its what I'm very interested in despite what a lot of people think (my sister and mom seem supportive which is why I love them and I know my dad and brother would be too). What is this job? I want to work on the Disney Cruise Line as a Youth counselor. I've looked into it a little bit. Its just an idea I'm bouncing around but I can't get it out of my head. Tonight I found out a girl I know has a friend who works at Disneyland as a character and is going to work on the cruise from July-October as an entertainer. I might get in contact with her which will be nice. She might have some answers to a few of my questions! :-D

Okay I'm out. I should have been sleeping but I wasn't tired and didn't feel like researching for the 20-25 page paper I have due in 2.5 weeks! Yikes!
